This study aimed to deeply understand the anxiety experiences of female production workers caused by shorter working hours using Giorgi's phenomenological approach. Purposive sampling resulted in the selection of six women, who participated in intensive interviews. The results revealed components of the anxiety experience, including: ¡®facing anxiety due to shorter working hours¡¯, ¡®anxious state due to shorter working hours¡¯, ¡®handling anxiety due to shorter working hours¡¯, ¡®discovering meaning in shorter working hours¡¯, and ¡®life changes and finding psychological stability.¡¯ Shorter working hours both caused challenges and improved quality of life. Anxiety activated by these changes led to concerns regarding an uncertain future, with multiple unstable psychological anxiety factors interacting. Participants used passive coping methods, avoidance, or active coping methods. Through these coping methods, they gradually shifted from anxiety toward psychological stability.
